How to choose the right bike cover - Bike Cases?

A bicycle cover is an indispensable bicycle accessory for those who travel frequently and are professionally engaged in cycling, since the rules for transporting bicycles (bus, train, plane) oblige to transport a bicycle in it. The cover can also be used for winter storage at home, for the convenience of transporting bicycles in the car, as the bike becomes more compact. This is due to the fact that it is possible to significantly save the space that the bike takes up, creates less dust, protects from sunlight, small shocks, and has a waterproof function. In addition, the bicycle cover can be used on a picnic, as a rug, a tourist tent, it is easy to fold, ease of use, is made of durable fabric, and is lightweight.

Let's consider how it works.

Typically, a bicycle cover has two handles on the sides, which make it easy to carry the bike by hand. In the interior there is a small compartment for the front wheel and a cover for the pants of the fork and closes very easily with a zip with two pawls. Everything is quite simple and without any unnecessary troubles.

Before packing the bike, it is advisable that it was completely washed so as not to stain the cover and to keep it clean. In order to fold the bike into the cover, follow our instructions:

The first step is to turn the bike upside down;
It is imperative to remove the front wheel, lower the seatpost, remove the horns and bike wings (if installed), turn the handlebars 90 degrees;
Start putting on the cover on the rear wheel and stretch it along the entire length of the bike, hide the base of the fork in a special pocket (if there is one);
Stretch the cover as much as possible and turn the bike over;
Put the front wheel in the special compartment of the cover (if there is one), it can be located both inside and outside.

If the question arises why it is the front wheel to be removed, and not the rear, the answer is simple - simplicity and time saving (removed and installed). If you remove the rear wheel, then during transportation, you can damage the rear derailleur and then have to tinker with its adjustment. Therefore, it is recommended to remove only the front wheel, which will save you from any additional manipulations with the bike setup.
